A little about my journey with EFT~ I stumbled upon EFT quite a few years ago, and I felt excited about it's seeming miraculous ability to help people heal quickly from their past painful experiences and present negative beliefs and habits. I used it occasionally on myself and found it to be moderately effective in certain circumstances...but I was pretty unsatisfied with my results. Why were so many people seeming to have miraculous healing with this stuff, but not me? Why couldn't I seem to get to my core issues with it? Well I read up on the EFT literature that's out there, and saw that while some people do have incredible results in a very short period of time, it's also not uncommon at all that it takes more time for folks, and that doing EFT with someone else rather than just by yourself can be extremely helpful. And so this is what inspired me to look on Yelp for an EFT practitioner. After reading Johna's glowing reviews, and checking out her website and reading up a little on her own journey, I knew she was who I wanted to work with. She has been working with EFT for a long time, and most importantly, she has worked though some very deep healing in herself, which I think is essential in a healer. I mean, how can I trust anyone to guide me through my own gunk, when they haven't been there themselves? Well, this lady has BEEN THERE. And she brought herself through to the other side and is now profoundly skilled at helping others get there. I am amazed EVERY TIME I work with her at how incredibly deep we go. I'm amazed also at how quickly I was able to really trust her, and how deeply I am able to journey into myself in her presence. What also blows me away is how intuitive she is in knowing exactly how to guide me. I feel that she resides in such a space of total non-judgement and compassion, that the healing almost happens spontaneously. In that space of love, it just unravels. Every session is a journey, and I never know where it will go...and yet at the end of each session I know that we went exactly where I needed to go. Sometimes I feel a little anxious before a session, because I am thinking it will be uncomfortable and scary to face the demons of my past. But somehow, with Johna, it is neither of the two. I feel safe in her presence, and able to access and hold those demons with love and compassion, until they melt away into a sense of openness and peace. It's really quite mind-blowing. Every time we end a session I feel grateful that I listened to the voice inside that said, yes....her...call Johna!! My advice to anyone interested in EFT is that it works!!! And it might take some time and dedication to dig in there and really work through your issues with it but IT IS SO WORTH IT. And it's ok that it's a process, because the journey is a beautiful one, and full of self discovery and skill-building that will serve you for a lifetime, and probably beyond.
